Frank Catalano, CPP - New York Institute of Technology
Dear ASIS Long Island Members,
It is hard to imagine that 2011 is now a memory. The Chapter had an extremely successful year and is looking forward to capitalizing on new relationships that were forged. Everyone continues to work hard, to further the mission of the chapter, while at the same time helping support youth groups, families of fallen officers, and our Law Enforcement Partners. I am honored and proud to once again have the opportunity to lead the members of this Chapter. The Chapter has been moving forward in its endeavors. We are fortunate this year to have a number of supporters willing to assist the chapter in those efforts. We are excited to be launching committees focusing on Academia, Business Continuity, Healthcare, and contributing to the safety of our communities. Members will again be presented with Certification Scholarship awards to attend review courses and aid them in their professional development. We are looking forward to providing superior speakers and topics, so we may provide quality and informative meetings. Our annual Person of the Year Awards Dinner will be held on April 18 and we are pleased to be honoring Adelphi University President Dr. Robert A. Scott, Nassau County Police Chief of Department Steven Skrynecki, our Member of the Year, Gerry Holler, along with our Security Officer of the Year. We also are pleased to be presenting chapter honors to Stephen Cleary, and James Reed. These individuals are highly enthusiastic and grateful for having been chosen by our chapter for these awards. Respectfully, Frank Catalano, CPP
