Arthur B. Colwin, Jr.
1969 - 2010
After a long, painful battle from heart disease, On October 25, 2010, our Chapter Chairman Arthur B. Colwin, Jr. passed away at the young age of 41. He leaves behind his Wife Veronica, and their five children: Lajanee 12, Arthur III 12, Xavier 9, Ashley 8, and Hunter 2. Despite his incredible career achievements, those of us who knew Arthur knew that his wife and children were his largest and brightest accomplishments. To Arthur, his family’s well being was always his primary concern.

His career began in 1992 with the New York City Police Department. Arthur displayed superior management skills and determination to his commanding officer which quickly escalated his career to that of a decorated Detective. After leaving the NYPD, Arthur entered the Private Security Industry with AlliedBarton Security Services. Once again Arthur displayed his skillful abilities that allowed him to advance quickly through the company ranks to the position of Vice President of National Accounts.

His years of Volunteer Service to our ASIS Long Island Chapter, Overseeing Golf Outings, Awards Dinners, serving on the executive board as Sgt. At Arms, Secretary, Vice Chairman, and this past year as Chairman was a testament to the devotion, will, and Character of this man . Arthur truly paid it forward. He will be missed.

We ask that you help us give back to Arthur, by helping his children through this very difficult time. A memorial fund has been created to allow us to assist in supplying basic needs now and college funds later. Please help by donating anything you feel appropriate to the address below.
